Internet2 Conference Includes Virtual Worlds
Hey, ya’ll,
I’m, like so many other teachers, so buried in start of the school year punchlists that I can’t believe I’m making time to get here In my rl. Thank GOD for Project Runway, which is keeping all of my lovely tv-addicted family members otherwise involved!
I teach K-4 technology at a thriving independent K-12 school in Nashville, TN and work one day a week at a premier private university science outreach group.
This week, I’m thinking about SLCC, where I’ll be streaming sessions into SL for the International Society for Technology in Education and helping my MUVErs colleagues present about our online education simulator projects. I’ll be busy. But something you may not know about is the Internet2 Member Meeting, scheduled for October 13-16 in the lovely city of New Orleans. I’ll be there helping with two panels, one called “Virtual Worlds: Successful Uses in Teaching and Learning” and one called “Virtual Worlds Panel”, and I’m buzzed about both. If you’re in the neighborhood, look us up. If you’re in Second Life, watch for information at the ISTE Island Blogger’s Hut! Heck! Look ME up!
